Umm... what is that second part of the equation.
Monkey + .. Politics? = stuff
Also, minimalist is one thing, but pure black and pure white just doesn't look right.

Well, not politics... the capital dome is more of a symbol for the mad-city, my current residence. I think i need to add a "?" to the end of that image, since i'm trying to communicate a world of possibilites... an unknown future.
As to pure black and white, are you referring to the front page or to the forum?

i think you should have some spot color - a significant color that draws your eye somehwere - like the end of the equation or something. AND, i think you should turn ON the comment feature... please?

Both, but the black and white works much better for the blog than the forum. In my opinion, the forum colors need to be changed, but the blog colors can stay.

I was thinking already about adding some spot of color to the header.. I just havent figured out yet what I want it to be. Further experimentation in PS is going to occur. As to comments on posts, that's what the message board is for

I will look into some other color schemes for the forum... and looking at the new admin features, I can actually create different skins for the forum, and then users can choose which one(s) they want to use.

If you create a skin like the old one, I'd pick it in an instant.
By the way, there is a bit of Irony in getting an IM from someone saying "go back to work", but you don't see it because you are busy working.
