I'm curious about doing a Parthian army for Armati, but I don't see much as far as sets go. There are two bad sets for CATs, but no CM, LC or SI sets as I've seen and I don't know enough about the army or other armies in the area of where to draw units from.
Help?

Well, you can take a look at the osprey book to find out what you're looking for as far as appearance goes. www.newlinedesigns.co.uk has some 20mm Parthians. I looked at their Han Chinese, and the production quality seems to be good. Only problem is that they may look just a little bit shorter than 1/72 plastic. I was comparing body sizes, and it actually looks like the figures are the same height, they just don't have as think a base. Anyhow, you can send to them to get a sample of their range, just need to enclose 3 international reply coupons, which costs less than 5 bux. Looking at their minis www.newlinedesigns.co.uk/gallery/studio/25mm-parthian/parthian_horse_archers.htmYou can see that the light cav could probably be at least partially made up of figs from the persian light cav set. The cataphracts www.newlinedesigns.co.uk/gallery/studio/25mm-parthian/pa3.htmlook rather similar to an upcoming HaT set www.hat.com/Prev/M8086RC.htmlI'll look around a bit more to see if there are any other 20mm manufacturers of parthians.

For the moment at least... But the HaT cataphracts should arrive sometime... At that point you could probably do some nice Parthians with just a few head swaps to liven things up a bit.
