Time for another exciting round of guessing what army I'm working on. Actually... given my post about bowl games, the question today is what three armies am I aiming to complete by Christmas time.
Frosty has an unfair advantage since I actually told him some of the things I am painting right now, but... that may or may not be misleading.
I wil give one hint at this point. Three armies, three epochs.

One is Marian / Caesarian Roman.
I remember you were also painting figures to go along with your Gallic army (HC) and the Pyrrhic army.
Now, I will state that my ability to remember pat's sets and plans for painting isn't all that great...
As far as the other two epochs, I don't see the Age of Chivalry being in the picture (too far ahead), so I feel it's safe to say that the other two armies are Triumph of Cavalry and Antiquity.
I think I remember something about Carthaginian, which would be nice to see in the picture as it is a very diverse army.
As for thinking any further on this, I am too tired and hungry at the moment.

Pyrrhic and Gallic troops are being painted, but they don't really count towards "new" armies. I'm already considering those two as playable armies... One of the armies is an easy paint, and I'm essentially certain of having done by Christmas. The other two are both more difficult paints. Much less uniformity, and a fair amount of detail on each individual. Realistically, I think I can get one of these done by Christmas... both might be pushing it... of course the way I paint I'll probably just end up with both half done.

Well, the reality it's become is that, with a real job and everything, I don't have the excess mental capacity to try and guess what the other two armies you are considering, so I'll simply guess that the one you'll finish is Marian Roman because you have a thing for the Romans.

Rebel and Union, after our ACW games surely you're painting Cav and stuff to expand oppurtunities in that era right?

How about this:
You tell us the armies you are working on and we can then talk about armies we'd like to paint at some point and such. I don't have the time (or atleast, with less time on my hands I'd rather use it in other ways) nor exessive excitement to go through all the army lists and guess almost at random which armies you are working on.
Besides, that might give me an idea on which army to do next. And with the potential of a west-coast HUNS event in the near future, I might just have the motivation to paint (I don't think it'd be motivation enough to get me to paint hoplites when there'll be something like 20 stands of hoplites coming out here).

Hmmm, painting up more ACW does actually sound nice... I'm not sure I'll have the energy to get through all the patterning and heraldry I need to to finish these two other armies. Problem is, I don't have that much left. I've got 7 US infantry, 5 cav, a pair of divisional commanders, 3 brigade command stands, and a 3 stands of zouaves. For CSA I've got even less. 1 stand of infantry, 5 brigade stands and two division commanders. I guess I could prbably paint the bulk if not the entirety of that.... but then I'm out.
