We've finished the utterly ridiculous aside which asked us to believe that Kyuubi chakra was some sort of fungible raw material that could simply be stored quite apart from its producer for unlimited time in any handy vessel. Were this actually the case, one would suspect that Naruto might be viewed as the town's nuclear reactor rather than its nuclear weapon, but, moving on... conveniently, the character that caused all of this insanity, despite an open invitation and entreaties to remain among his "new friends" in Konoha, decided instead to set off and "see the world" meaning that we will thankfullly never see or hear of him again.
So, back to one of our two outstanding REAL villains, the Akatsuki. And what an interesting episode this turned out to be, introducing us to not only two heretofore unknown shadows of the organization -- Kakuzu and Hidan -- but also another Jinchuriki! (And the nearly paranthetical knowledge that Akatsuki has already got its hands on half the tailed beasts of the world!!!111!)
Unfortunately we don't learn that much about the Cloud village jinchuriki, which is a pity since it would have been interesting to see the techniques of said village.
On the upside, I really enjoyed this episode overall. It will be interesting to see the fight of the monks in the upcomign episode... hopefully they acutally reveal something about these Akatsuki and how they so handily dealt with a bijuu that didn't have to worry about simultaneously defending their entire village.
